Define

I am someone who values proactive planning and prefers to organize my day in advance, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time. While I understand plans may not always go as expected, having a clear structure is essential for managing my day effectively.

In my search for suitable planning apps, I found many to be overly complex, difficult to customize, and lacking in mobile accessibility. This inspired me to design a mobile-first app that serves as both a planner and personal assistant—streamlined, intuitive, and tailored to help users manage their tasks and schedules with ease.

Ideate

‍

Before starting the design, I brainstormed features and components that would distinguish the app from existing options. Through online research, I recognized that the productivity app market is highly competitive, with many similar applications already developed. To ensure the app’s success and value to users, it needed to offer unique and appealing features.

I envisioned the app as aesthetic, minimalistic, versatile, and highly personalizable, with a standout AI-powered “Workflow Optimization” feature. This feature allows users to input tasks along with key details like energy required, difficulty, estimated time, and priority. By tapping the "Optimize Workflow" button, the app arranges tasks in the most efficient order for human performance. Users can then adjust the suggested schedule for added flexibility and customization.

With these ideas in place, I began by creating wireframes to establish a solid foundation for the design. This step helped translate the concept into a clear and functional structure.

Prototype + Refine

‍

The prototype was developed in Figma, featuring both light and dark mode versions. This decision was influenced not only by the growing preference for dark mode among users but also as a symbolic representation of day and night, aligning with the app's theme.

Refinements were made through iterative user testing using Figma's prototype functionality, allowing users to interact with the design and provide valuable feedback. Additionally, input from fresh perspectives helped further polish the design, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
